Sometimes, we create projects just to push ourselves creatively — no client, no product, no rules. Our recent mango margarita spec ad was one of those projects.
It’s vibrant, a little over-the-top, and exactly the kind of content that makes people stop scrolling.
But more than that, it’s proof of concept.
What’s a Spec Ad?
A spec ad is a self-produced commercial for a product or service you don’t technically have a client for — yet. It’s a way for creatives (like us) to show what’s possible when there are no limitations.
No feedback loops. No brand guides. Just concept → shoot → edit → publish.
In this case, we wanted to show how far you can push visual storytelling — even for something as simple as a drink.
Why We Made It
Because good video sells. Even when the product doesn’t exist.
